Enniscorthy Credit Union Limited

The draw for the 2011 Free Scholarship Draw was held  in the Riverside Park Hotel on Thursday 17th November 2011.  A large crowd of parents and family members

attended the draw on behalf of the applicants most of whom were in college.  The prize money awarded through the scholarship has increased over the years with the successful entrant on the night receiving €4,500 over a three year period subject to making suitable progress in college. The Board of Directors decided to extend the draw in 2010 adding another category which was open to PLC students and students attending other Level 5 courses. The winner of this category received a one off cheque for €1,000.  Other successful entrants on the night of the draw received one-off prizes of €1,000 and 4 prizes of  €500.   Mr Pat O'Shea, Chairman of the Board of Directors thanked everyone for attending. Mr O'Shea told the attendance that over €60,000 has been awarded to sucessfull scholarship entrants since it started in 1994. The draw on the night was supervised by Mr Michael Brennan P.C. and Mr Tommy Tyrrell, Chairman of the Supervisory committee of Enniscorthy Credit Union. The lucky winners on the night were; Peter Fortune €1,500, Aisling Byrne €1,000, Naimh Murphy €1,000 and Jack Murphy, Liam Lawler, Michael Mitchell, Edward Kehoe each receiving €500.
